DFEi Talent Show/Christmas Jumper Competition for Pieta House

Well done to SE5B and PR5 for organising a lively talent show and colourful Christmas Jumper competition. Cathal Hughes opened the show with a "strip tease" that didn't go too far! We were treated to a variety of tunes including rap artists, singer songwriter, spanish guitar solo, dance and song. Kylie Dunigan raised the roof by hitting the high notes in the beautiful Christmas Hymn, Oh Holy Night. Kylie went on to win the talent show.

Warren and Stanley performed a rap duet, David and Wayne sang Wonderwall by Oasis. Brian O'Shea treated us to a medley of classical guitar instrumental tunes. Ian Murphy performed his own song, a curious mix of "cat dancing" and what Willie describes as "Frank Zappa" esk songs. Very entertaining indeed.

Daire (AKA Fingers) performed his own bitter/sweet song on guitar. A wonderful voice and he took full command of the audience. To conclude Kylie made sure we all went away feeling very Christmassy with her amazing rendition of Oh Holy Night. Her fellow nursing students were there in force to cheer her on and got into the spirit by sporting their favourite Christmas jumpers.

Thank you to all the teachers who helped out at this event. Wille De Mange, Aoife Nathan, Patrick Wall, Niall Power and Fionnuala Martin. Special thanks to our digital marketing teacher Marie Lonergan for organising the online recordings and posts.
