Qualifications and Quality Assurance Authority of Ireland (QQAI)

FETAC acts as the awarding body for the majority of courses offered by the college.  DFEi received its Quality Assurance Agreement with FETAC in May 2006.  DFEi has agreed procedures and policies with FETAC to assure the quality of courses and services.

The Qualifications and Quality Assurance (Education and Training) Act, 2012 provides for a new integrated agency, the Qualifications and Quality Assurance Authority of Ireland, replacing FETAC, HETAC, NQAI and IUQB.  It is anticipated that the establishment day for this new body will be towards the end of 2012.  At that time FETAC will be legally dissolved and governance of all FETAC courses will fall under the remit of the QQI.  This change will not affect your FETAC award.
