Graduation

Each September, DFEi graduates join their teachers and local dignitaries in the Royal Marine Hotel for the formal presentation of certificates. This is a chance to mark your successes, gown-up and invite family or friends to celebrate with you. An award is presented to all ‘Graduate of the Year’ students, chosen from each class group.

Student Activities

Student activities at DFEi are as diverse as our student body itself. Our student canteen – The Hive – is regularly home to student gigs and other events such as table quizzes and cultural celebrations. Our students have shown themselves to be adept at staging events and raising money for worthy charities such as the DSPCA and St Vincent De Paul. Whatever course you pursue you will have the chance to put yourself forward for election onto the DFEi Student Council and to organise social nights and other student events.

Facilities

At DFEi you will find modern, comfortable surroundings and student facilities to cater for your needs. Visit The Hive, where hot and cold food and tea & coffee are served daily. The Learning Centre will provide a calm, studious environment where you can use computer/printing facilities to conduct research or complete assignments. Books relevant to your course are also available here. At DFEi you will also benefitfrom state-of-the-art facilities relevant to your chosen course, for example a dedicated animal grooming studio, a fully-fitted radio studio and an electronics laboratory.
